Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and capVentures ("we", "us") governing your use of the Word War: Duel mobile application ("the app"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

2. Your Account

The app uses Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Do not create multiple accounts to gain an advantage in the daily puzzle, wars, or leaderboards.

3. Gameplay and Fair Play

The app offers a daily word puzzle, practice modes, and competitive multiplayer "wars" between players and teams. You agree not to:

Use automated tools, scripts, bots, or modified clients to play or to obtain puzzle answers
Exploit bugs, or intercept or tamper with communication between the app and our servers, to alter scores or outcomes
Operate more than one account in the same war, team, or leaderboard
Interfere with or disrupt the app or our servers

We may adjust or void scores, and suspend or terminate accounts, that we reasonably determine have violated these rules.

4. User Content and Conduct

You may choose a username and upload a profile image, and you may name wars and teams. You are responsible for that content, and you represent that you have the right to use it. Do not submit content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, infringing, or impersonates another person.

You grant us a limited license to store and display your username and profile image to other participants in wars and teams you join, for the purpose of operating the game. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

To report content or a player, email support@wordwarduel.com. We review reports and act on them, typically within 24 hours.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

The app may offer an optional premium subscription. All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account — we never receive or handle your payment details.

Auto-renewing subscription terms

Title: Word War: Duel Premium
Length and price: 1 month, US$2.99 per month (or the equivalent in your local currency, as shown in the App Store at the time of purchase)
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription automatically renews at the same price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew at any time in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in the App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
If a free trial or introductory offer is provided, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

Refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. We cannot issue refunds directly. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Any in-game credits, benefits, or virtual items have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be modified or discontinued.

6. Availability and Changes

The app depends on our servers and on your internet connection. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features — including wars, teams, and the daily puzzle — at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time and may request deletion of your account by emailing support@wordwarduel.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms. On termination, the license in Section 1 ends.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, capVentures will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of US$25.00 or the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Apple

These Terms are between you and capVentures only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
